The Inspiration Behind "Evolved": “Evolved” explores personal growth in a very honest and vulnerable way. What inspired you to write this song, and was there a specific life experience that sparked its creation?

“Evolved” was inspired by both my own personal journey and the changes I’ve been observing around me—shifting friendships, evolving relationships, and the uncertainty that often comes with transition.

I wanted to capture what happens when life changes us quietly, often before we fully understand who we are becoming. It felt like a deeply human and universal experience worth exploring through music.

The Reality of Personal Growth: The song acknowledges pain, uncertainty, and self-doubt rather than presenting growth as a perfect journey. Why was it important for you to portray transformation in such an authentic way?

Growth is rarely linear. While transformation can look empowering from the outside, living through it often feels uncertain, uncomfortable, and emotionally complex.

I wanted the song to reflect that truth. Feeling lost or doubtful doesn’t mean we’re moving backward; it can simply be part of letting go of an older version of ourselves and making space for something new.

What It Means to Evolve: One of the most powerful lines in the song is “And now, I have evolved.” What does that statement personally mean to you today?

To me, it represents reaching a place where one can look back on their experiences with clarity and recognize how much we have learned and changed. It carries a sense of acceptance, resilience, and quiet confidence—the understanding that growth has shaped you in meaningful ways.

A Message for Those Who Are Healing: The lyrics touch on themes of healing from past experiences and learning to move forward. What message do you hope listeners take away when they hear “Evolved”?

I hope listeners connect with the song in their own personal way. Healing doesn’t always happen overnight. While we can carry memories, unanswered questions, and emotional scars while still continuing to move forward. The song is a reminder that growth doesn’t require erasing the past. We can honor what shaped us, release what no longer serves us, and continue evolving with strength and grace.

The Beauty of French Expression: The French phrases “Je suis vivante” and “Je suis déchirée” add a unique emotional dimension to the song. What inspired you to include these expressions, and what do they symbolize within the story of the track?

The French phrases came very naturally. I was inspired by the French music while driving and was drawn to the emotional beauty and intensity of the language.

“Je suis vivante” means “I am alive,” while “Je suis déchirée” means “I am torn.” Together, they reflect the emotional contradiction that often comes with change—we can feel hopeful and renewed while still feeling emotionally divided. That contrast sits at the heart of the song.

When Relationships Change: The song reflects on changing friendships and relationships as people grow. Have your own experiences with evolving relationships influenced the songwriting process?

Absolutely. My own experiences played a role, but so did watching the changes happening in the lives of people around me.

As people grow, relationships naturally shift. Some deepen, while others fade as people move in different directions. I wanted to reflect that this isn’t about right or wrong, it’s simply part of life evolving.

Finding Strength in Stillness : The bridge of the song speaks about holding space for yourself and learning to stay present despite emotional weight. How important has self-acceptance been in your personal journey of growth?

Self-acceptance has been incredibly important because growth often requires us to become comfortable with uncertainty.

Holding space for yourself means allowing yourself to feel, reflect, and change without constantly seeking approval or immediate answers. It’s about trusting yourself enough to stay grounded even when life feels uncertain.

Balancing Vulnerability and Resilience: As both an artist and storyteller, how do you balance vulnerability with strength when sharing such deeply personal emotions through your music?

I always begin with honesty and then shape that emotion in a way that allows others to connect with the story.

While personal experiences may inspire the music, I want the message to feel universal. When listeners hear their own experiences reflected in the song, vulnerability becomes strength because it creates genuine connection.

Looking Beyond "Evolved": Looking ahead, how does “Evolved” represent your current artistic chapter, and what can listeners expect from your future musical projects?

“Evolved” represents a chapter of greater confidence, openness, and artistic clarity. It reflects my growth not only as a singer-songwriter, but also as a composer, producer, and storyteller.

Moving forward, I’m excited to continue exploring different musical styles while drawing inspiration from cultures, languages, and shared human experiences. While I’m open to any experience, I want to keep creating music rooted in themes of identity, change, resilience, relationships, and personal transformation.
