Earning Their Stripes with Britpop Icons and Rising Rockers

Even in their rookie year, HEALER found themselves sharing stages with seasoned acts. Notably, they scored support slots with Britpop legends Sleeper and Welsh rock outfit Trampolene, proving they weren’t just background noise—they were contenders. These opportunities placed the young Grimsby act in direct comparison with industry veterans, and HEALER more than held their own.

In an era of algorithm-driven hype and fleeting TikTok trends, HEALER is bringing something rare and real to the table—authentic, hard-hitting alt-rock. Emerging from the historic fishing town of Grimsby in 2022, this band didn’t just show up—they made sure you felt their arrival.

From their earliest shows, HEALER’s presence has been magnetic. Grassroots venues across the North of England were the first to witness their dynamic live energy. Fans came for the music and stayed for the attitude—raw, honest, and loud in all the right places.

Eyes on 2025: New Music, Bigger Stages

Now in 2025, HEALER shows no sign of slowing down. With new music already written and slated for release, the band is hungry to push beyond their cult following and take on even larger audiences. Their next moves are set to build on the relentless momentum they’ve carried since their first gig.

The band’s story is a testament to persistence, passion, and the enduring power of rock rooted in honesty and grit. From the docks of Grimsby to national radio and festival main stages, HEALER is crafting a legacy that feels as timeless as the sound they’ve built.

Radio Airplay and Rising Recognition

The band’s upward trajectory took another leap in 2023 when their self-released tracks began turning heads outside their hometown. BBC Music Introducing and Amazing Radio in both the UK and US started spinning their songs—an uncommon feat for a band without a label.

Tastemakers at This Feeling—known for spotlighting the UK’s most promising emerging acts—featured HEALER in their Best New Bands playlist. Meanwhile, Lloyd Griffith, Grimsby’s own comedian and TV personality, became one of their loudest advocates, frequently name-dropping the band and promoting their music.

“HEALER is the band that brings Grimsby pride,” Griffith once said in a radio segment, drawing more ears to their sound.

2024: The Breakthrough Year

With momentum building, 2024 became the breakout year for HEALER. The release of two explosive singles, “Wake Me Up” and “War”, marked a clear evolution in both songwriting and sound.

“Wake Me Up” earned a place on Amazing Radio’s Hot New Indie Playlist, while “War” was named Track of the Day by This Feeling—another stamp of approval from the indie rock gatekeepers. Jericho Keys, the influential BBC Introducing presenter, didn’t hold back either, calling one of the tracks his “favourite tune so far” from the band and praising the relatability of the lyrics.

But HEALER’s rise wasn’t limited to airwaves. Their live reputation reached new heights as they hit the summer festival circuit, performing alongside major names such as:

Razorlight

Frank Turner

Feeder

The View

The Lottery Winners

Each performance solidified their position as one of the most exciting new live bands in the UK.
