In a surprise move, Drake has once again sent shockwaves through the music world with the release of three new tracks: “SOD,” “Circadian Rhythm,” and “No Face” featuring Playboi Carti. The release, which Drake teased via his Instagram burner account @plottttwistttttt, and it has already generated a lot of attention among fans and industry insiders.
"SOD," once known as "Supersoak," grabbed headlines even before it was officially released. Originally including a verse by Lil Yachty, the music was delayed owing to a sample clearance issue with Mr. HotSpot. Yachty's part was eventually erased, and the song was rebranded for its official release, adding to speculation of tension between the two artists.
Meanwhile, “Circadian Rhythm” has fans drawing connections to the ongoing beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. The title appears to reference a line from Lamar’s diss track “6:16 in LA,” adding another layer to their long-standing rivalry.
On “No Face,” Drake takes aim at his critics, delivering sharp bars that address those who have spoken against him. Playboi Carti’s feature adds an extra edge to the track, making it a standout among the three.
This latest release follows Drake's recent drop of unreleased music and exclusive content on 100gigs.org, where he shared behind-the-scenes footage and tour set designs.
