Intercolour’s story begins in Nottingham, a city with a long-standing reputation for nurturing independent music talent. What started as a collaboration between two university musicians has evolved into a full five-piece band featuring:

Made up largely of students from Nottingham Trent University (NTU), the group has already made a significant impact on the local live scene. They’ve performed at respected Nottingham venues, including Metronome, The Grove, and The Level, while also winning the Loud and Live Battle of the Bands competition—a strong early sign that the band is connecting with audiences beyond the student circuit.

The UK rock scene continues to evolve with fresh talent, and one of the most exciting emerging names is Intercolour, a Nottingham-based rock band blending psychedelic rock, blues, jazz, and classical influences into a sound that feels both nostalgic and unmistakably modern. Formed in December 2023 by guitarist Rahul Mayre and pianist George Kinton, the band has quickly expanded its lineup, sharpened its musical identity, and built a growing reputation through energetic live performances across Nottingham’s vibrant music circuit.
